When families face high-stakes trust disputes, complex probate litigation, or sensitive estate planning choices, they need more than just a legal technician—they need a steady advocate who knows how to navigate turbulent waters.

At The Law Offices of Rodono & Haydt, we believe in providing boutique, highly personalized service rooted in integrity and unmatched courtroom readiness. Today, we are proud to shine the spotlight on partner Zach N. Haydt, whose unique background, rigorous training, and unwavering commitment to public service define the core of our firm.

From the U.S. Marine Corps to the Courtroom

Zach’s path to becoming a formidable trial attorney is built on a lifelong foundation of service. Right after high school, Zach enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving a five-year commitment that included deployments to Afghanistan following 9/11 and two tours in Iraq.

That disciplined, service-first mindset carried over into his civilian and legal career. After earning his Bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature from Temple University, Zach relocated to the West Coast. He sharpened his legal foundation early on by clerking for federal administrative law judges before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of California, San Francisco College of the Law (Hastings).

During law school, Zach distinguished himself academically—earning the prestigious CALI Award for ranking at the top of his Criminal Procedure class and receiving a scholarship for his published writing on the PG&E bankruptcy.

Trial-Tested Advocacy in Estate & Trust Litigation

Before entering private practice, Zach honed his skills as a Public Defender, managing high-volume caseloads and building an impressive track record as a courtroom litigator.

Today, Zach applies that trial-tested strategy to complex civil matters at Rodono & Haydt. His practice focuses heavily on:

  • Estate Planning: Crafting comprehensive, customized plans to protect family legacies.

  • Trust & Will Contests: Navigating high-conflict challenges with precision and clarity.

  • Probate Litigation: Providing fierce, strategic advocacy during family transitions.

  • Elder Financial Abuse: Actively prosecuting and defending claims to protect vulnerable loved ones.

A Client-First Philosophy

Legal disputes involving family estates are often emotionally charged. Zach’s approach is grounded in a deep empathy for what clients are going through. He prioritizes transparent communication, ensuring that every family he works with feels heard, informed, and thoroughly supported through every phase of the legal process.

Life in the South Bay

When he isn't advocating for clients in court or drafting bulletproof estate plans, Zach fully embraces the active South Bay lifestyle. You can often find him out on the ocean sailing, scaling mountains, or training for his next marathon.

Do you have questions about structuring your estate plan or navigating a complex trust dispute? Contact Rodono & Haydt today to schedule a consultation with Zach or our team.
